Ok, FB friends and family that have DIRECTV, I am at my wits end here and want to know if anyone has ever experienced the problem were having. We have had DIRECTV for about 11-12 years and have had very few problems. In Oct, 2013, we had the Genie installed in our living room and 3 mini genies in the bedrooms and its been wonderful, until last night when it started to freeze up and eventually we couldnt even pull up the guide. This morning when I turned the TV on, the same thing happened so I finally unplugged the receiver and plugged it back in and it came up with a message saying performing self check, and after a few seconds, another message came up saying scanning disk, 405,000 errors found and throughout the day it corrected errors and when it finally hit 100%, it started over with more errors. When I got home from work, I called DIRECTV and they told me to do everything I had already done and finally said that they will send out a new receiver and we should have it in 3 business days! What??? We cant even watch recorded shows, on any of the TVs!!! Oh, but theyll give us a credit for the days we dont have service!!!! Has anyone ever had this problem? Ugh!!
