Ok Grenada peeps, who is a good ornithologist? Had an owl on my fence tonight and got pretty close to get a good look at it. I looked at my bird book and Im a little confused for once. It was definitely an owl of good size and a darker coloration. No noticeable ear tufts or anything like that. If I were home I would have said it was a light colored Barred owl, but they arent here. Two best options from my book based on what would be in the region are the ashy-faced owl and the barn owl, but the face looking at me didnt quite seem light enough for either. Any advice welcome! Id love to know what it was and Im hoping to catch sight of it again.
