Ok. I have put in a 1000 km on my Harley-Davidson. So what do I think? Has life changed for ever? Sunday mornings have a new meaning? To be honest, I am a lot less lazier than ever before. As the clock ticks into 5.30 in the morning on any off-day, I am up, coffee brewing, jeans hunting and visor wiping...I have been riding for some time but the Thuderstorm, er...that is what I call her, is quicker than anything on two wheels that I owned before. It took me a while to get used to and yes, I did get the must-have burn above the right ankle from the red hot screaming eagle exhaust. But she livened up quite and cold winter mornings a great deal. I love the sound, I love the sure shot gear changes, I love the candy-orange paint...I hate the fact that I can never ever get her into neutral. Just cruising at 100 kph is what she is best at and passing slow moving trucks is just a matter of down shift and a twist of the wrist. Sure I do get stormed by superbike riders on their Sunday morning blasts - but I do normally catch up with them as they cool their heels few km down the road. And they do wave back when I do. She may not be a full dresser, she may not be the Busa-buster, but guess what, she is mine and I am in love.
