Ok, Ill try to be brief. I was driving my Mustang which I havent driven in well over a year. I parked it when I got my SUV so I could have more room for my domestic duties. The Mustang has a manual transmission. Well I parked and went into Walmart and made a small purchase. When I returned to the parking lot, I found my car out of the parking spot and sitting out in the road area of the lot, right up against the rear of two other cars. It was just like it was parked there. I was absolutely astounded, and Ill bet that I stood there 10 seconds trying to comprehend what I was seeing. I thought that I had parked it there and that I was losing my mind. For real. I was totally shocked and amazed. But, I got into the car, started it and was going to drive away. I immediately saw these three women walking toward me holding out their hands and telling me to stop! I stopped. In the meantime I had figured out that I had left the Mustangs transmission in neutral and that it had rolled back. It did bump into another car. Only wanting to do the right thing, I offered my ID, insurance information. No, they wouldnt take that, they wouldnt even look at it. They said that I could not leave until they found the owner of the other car. It was so hot there in the parking lot, I told them that I could not just stand there while they looked for the other owner. Then, they told me to go back into the store. By now, the three women had been joined by a man who identified himself as a Loss Prevention Officer. He lifted his shirt so I could see his pistol. They escorted me back into the store where they had me to sit upon a bench while they stood around me as though they were guarding me. At one point I told them that I have a medical issue (and I do!) that would prevent me from just sitting there a long time. But, they said that I couldnt leave and they held me there. Not physically, but I knew that I couldnt leave! It was really pretty intimidating! I may stir this up!! Im getting madder just thinking about it!
