Ok, Ive been wanting to give a huge shout out to all of my heroes, teachers, inspirations, muses, and flat out icons within the Utah EDM community and with it coming up on my 19th year of living the life of the rave, 13th year of being a DJ, and 9th year of being a promoter, thought I should do so now. So if youve got a minute, heres a read for you all..... To start, I got to give it up to Matt Munford aka aftamat and Brian Rohmer aka B-Rohmer for giving me the tools to start spinning and creating the nosay. I miss you guys and think there needs to be a nightdroppin reunion soon. Taking it back to the days of old and reasons why I got in to the scene, wed have to start with Nebula, Beaker, Josh Craig, Shawn Phiilips, Koppertop, Hyjinx, Eric Diggabeatz, Chris Bersick, Dave David Sweeten, Nicole Julliette Beeman, J-Luv and Tenchi for getting my but out to the raves on a weekly basis. If any of these guys were on a flyer, I was there!!! But when one starts having children, thats when the rave stops and the DJ begins. So this is where my true props are going to come out because for 5 years, I dropped out of the scene to really just focus on spinning before I came out as a DJ.....like most of you kids SHOULD do!!! ;-P First off I got to give it up to the Ogden crew for being such assholes to me for even giving it a try and constantly talking shit on not only my music choices (Uk HardHouse) but also making me feel like I shouldnt even be on the dex. Just made me practice more and more to perfect the art. Tough love, guys.... Nate Larsen aka Nastee-N8, Jans Ahumada aka Kno-1, David Quintana, and Perry Michaels....you dirt bags made this, way to go asshats!! Now lets jump to 2005 when nosay began. Back then, one of the easiest ways to get yourself booked when nobody has ever even heard of you was to throw your own event. ICON 101 came and nosay jumped on the scene!! It was that night that I met Jeremy Moreland before V2 was even born, this is the first guy to tell me that I had something and to never give up. Was the coolest cat that night and helped out a ton on promoting even tho the show didnt quite do as expected.....but fun non the less, Frankie Bones baby!!! Now lets not forget about the record shops and kick ass peeps that worked/owned these 2 spots, Mechanized Records and Uprok!!!! Merryl Martensen and Ronnie Lee Martensen Jr, love you guys!!! You two were always so welcoming and made me feel right at home when I really didnt know what I was doing nor did I know anybody as it is!!! Also, Brandon Fullmer, at first we didnt talk much but after all these years, I love ya man!!! Youve really grown on me and are quite the bad apple..... Now years are going by and the true friends are coming out, starting with Erica TinkFu Brown, you stole my cheese fries!!! This chica was the very first big time DJ I ever met and she was so cool and so down to earth, plus, she plays some pretty badass breax which is what got me into learning broken beats and honing all genres which helped stabilize my mixing skills. Then Preston E. Bair, Ashton MacFarlane, Johnny Ringo, Steven Briggs, Nico Vermonte, 刘浩瀚 aka Tacha, Andrew Latta, Mike Nichols, G-Mann, Brendan Hobbz Phillips, and Mark Vining, when I met or re-met you guys, I was already getting fully back into the scene and jamming out with you guys is where I really started to get in my own groove and began to finally find my own sound without sounding like everyone else and where the house started to come alive!!! Mad props and thanks for helping out when I needed it, lord knows have the time I did. Now is where ICON 202 comes along and James Sosa is me familia!!!! This kid knows his stuff and helped push the progressive side out of me along with Johnny Ringo!!! Thanks guys!!! Now lets now forget my Nocturnal Trauma possie!!! Dan GameBoy Palmer, Jake Jankee Nielsen, Jeremy Beirwulf aka kokopelli, Mark Taylor aka Krayola-k, Danny Boulden aka DEFYZE (there, I spelled it right.lol) Vincent Vega, Michael Carlin aka MixFix.....you crazy kids still give that umph that I need in order to keep pressing on even tho sometimes it would be easier to just throw in the towel!!! For all the newer homies Ive been so blessed to hang and keep jamming with, Paul Jibbywagoo aka Johnny Reaper, Chris Bagshaw aka kritter, Anthony Motto, Felix Villar, George Felix, Bus Short, Eric Knudson, Matt Housley aka In2Gr8.....thanks for all you do and keeping what you do true to you and being shuch great people and awsome friends, that in itself in true inspiration. Last but not least, Erik Charlat aka Lost n Found, youre my bestest of bestest, my biggest pain in the ass yet biggest drive for me to continue in this beautiful journey that is House Music. This guy is the one to slap me around when Ive gone too ravey, (even tho I care, I do what I want), and is always pushing me to do better and keep the drive alive!! I love ya buddy, we got this!!! This isnt a game and weve got work to do!!! Now I know Ive missed a ton of people but ya know what, this post is just too damn long, Ive been up all night as usual and Im sick of looking at this screen so for that I say Im sorry. Ill catch ya the next time Im feeling all lovey dovey.................peace and beats peeps!!! That you, come again
