Ok... Quick football rant (real football... Soccer to most of you😜). So this #LandonDonovan thing is simple. Yes, hes the biggest name that you probably know and hes an American hero after his World Cup goal against Algeria in 2010 (he has more goals - 5, than #Messi and #Cristiano combined). However, hes out of shape and slow. He quit on the #USMNT and had to work hard to re-join in prep for #WorldCup, He publicly admitted that he cant give 100% for more than 3-4 days in a row. The US plays #Ghana first (June 16) and must get 3 pts (theyll probably need at least 4 to advance - pts vs #Germany & #Portugal will be tough). The Africans are bigger, faster, and stronger. Donovan probably wouldnt have played in that game anyway. So why would Jurgen choose him over another player that could at least run with the Ghanaians?! His leadership will be missed, but the quality clearly didnt meet a high enough standard. Lets hope #Dempsey finds the best form of his life!!! #IBelieveThatWeWillWin. ⚽️🏆
