Ok. So we went and saw Noah. From a Christian perspective, I found absolutely nothing offensive about it. Did the storyteller take creative license with how the ark got built or how Noah and his 3 young sons kept everyone else off the ark? Yes. But havent you ever wondered that yourself? And after all, The Lord does work in mysterious ways... In regards to some reviewers I have read in regards to how it blatantly chose evolution over creation..pletely false...I believe they did a good job of blending the two theories. For the Bible literalist who think nothing should be added or taken away...the incest following Gods destruction of all of mankind except one family...is only implied and not depicted, so I kind of see what you mean. In regards to the Christ (whom Christianity is professed to be modeled after), here is what I believe he might have said...meh In the end the movie is just ok, I almost wish it lived up to the controversy so it would make it more interesting. I dont think the viewing of it will send anyone straight to hell, or even put them on that path. And I just have to mention that I read one alarmist reviewer refer to the Ten Commandments and Ben Hur as being perfect examples of movies offering a more purist biblical perspective as opposed to the straight from the devil interpretation of Noah. As one who has read the bible cover to cover 4 times in as many translations and has studied it for many years (voluntarily and involuntarily) I still cant find the Story of Ben Hur anywhere...but I will keep looking...
