Ok firstly just want to say thank you to my big sis Bj Brown for thinking so highly of me to nominate me for Kidney Health Australias Angel wings. I just want to say that Im very humbled by the support my family, friends and the town in general have shown Scott and I through out our journey with Kidney disease. When Scott and I started to see each other over 12years ago, he was up front about our possible future together, however we made the commitment to each other - in sickness or health and for better or worse. For those of you that are close to us you know only too well we have had our fair share of all the above. However we will get through anything life throws at us as long as our family is together. We will be forever grateful to Scotts previous donors Dudley & Sue for allowing us to have such quality time together. We are very blessed to have been able to have 3 beautiful children together, who are our whole world. I have become a stronger and more resilient person since going through this due to the love and support of Scott, the children and our family and close friends constant help and support as you cant do this alone. As a career living with someone who has Kidney disease you need to be strong for those around you cause everything Scott has gone though he doesnt complain or winge, he just gets on with it. I would like to think it has made our children very resilient and respectful towards people in other situations as they have always grown up with the concept of healthy days verse sick ones and hospital and Drs visits being just our way of life to keep our Daddy/Best friend/Husband alive and well. I am very grateful for being recognised as an angel to those in need but i dont see i do anything special or different from those in the same situation. I would do anything to have a healthy and happy family. We still have a huge road ahead of us but like i have said before, together with Scott and the kids we will light that road up and keep on soldering on. So once again i say a huge thanks to everyone for your love, support and friendship. I have to write this as everyone knows that i get very emotional when i have to talk family, so please accept this a my personal thanks to you all xx.
