Ok folks... I need help identifying this super creepy awesome - TopicsExpress

Ok folks... I need help identifying this super creepy awesome thing I came across! Have any of you ever seen anything like this? Long story short... I met a very eccentric, extremely wealthy lady, who has this in her house. She says that she bought it at an estate sale, and all she was told was that it came from a gypsy caravan! (WTF?) From what I can tell, the image inside is part painting, part actual clothing (shawl & tassels), and part sculpture (shoes?). The cabinet itself looks old, and has colored glass inlays. ANYONE????? I cant find anything online! If you know anyone who might have some insight, PLEASE ask them! Jason Gaddy help me research this? Pretty please?
