Ok folks here we go, This Sunday will be the first ever Yesbar Virgins: Comedy Sunday School. The show format will be simliar to that of the YesBar Virgins show with a little twist. I will be looking for 5 acts per show. At the top of the night the audience will be asked to write down a selection of joke topic & subjects, they will be popped in a box and the acts will choose 2 each. Each act will then be given between 7/10 minutes of stage time to do their set, try new material, whatever they have come to do. Once everyone has donr their set the final 20 mins of the show will be drawing out the topics in random order and inviting the acts back stage to present their new joke. After all 10 are complete the audience will be asked to pick a favouite and that act will graduate YV Comedy Sunday School and get alittle scroll for their trouble. The idea is not only to allow new & open rising acts stage time but to encourage the creation of new material, writting to subject writting speed. For more experienced acts this will flexiing already established muscles for newer acts, hopefully it will be good stage time with a bit of a comedy workout on top. Its a new idea for Me & The YesBar so as the weeks go on it will likely require tweaking but i think it should be fun for all involved and continue to help new and rising acts grow and improve on the circuit.
