Ok friends, its official - Family Fun Scuba & Snorkel will be hosting our first fundraising event at the Yellowstone Valley Brewing Company located at 2123 B 1st Ave N. Billings, Montana. The event will be held Wednesday January 28th from 6-8pm. It will be a Hawaiian/Caribbean theme so bring your hula skirts and Hawaiian shirts!There will be a number of fun activities, refreshments, silent auction, 50/50 raffle and other events. The funds raised will be for 2 Non-profit Organizations. The first is The Montana Adaptive Aquatic Program (MAAP). The basic function of this organization is assist those with disabilities to not only better enjoy the aquatic world but more so, to expand their physical and mental states allowing them to live life more fully. Just A FEW of the programs that we will be providing include: 1) Aqua Freedom and Movement (aquatic therapy) 2) Adaptive Swim Lessons 3) Adaptive Scuba Diving 4) Therapeutic Massage 5) Counseling The second organization is The Montana Veterans Aquatic Alliance (MVAA). Using Scuba & Aquatics to Aid Our Troops and their families with New Physical and Mental challenges They Face off the Battlefield Without the men and women of the United States Armed Services not only do the lives and peace that we take for granted suffer, but also for countless other non-americans world wide. After our troops return home, new battles await for them. They include haunting memories of combat, limb and mobility loss, PTSD, divorce, stress, loneliness, isolation, injuries and loss. Now, veterans are reintroduced to a world that has become foreign to them and we want to be there to help them. Some of the activities that we may use include: Physical Therapy Basic swimming Advanced swimming Swimming for fitness Water aerobics Snorkeling Scuba Diving Kayaking Fly fishing Vet to Vet Counseling Professional Counseling Please come and support us at the Yellowstone Valley Brewing Company located at 2123 B 1st Ave N.
