Ok, guess youre chomping to find out how things went today. Well, for starters. it was drawn out paper work. at the same time the head of Operations came in and informed us that change was in the air......Oh Oh. Apparently they had a meeting over the weekend and the consensus was to do away with the part time operator position (which is the training path I am on.) there are two ways to come aboard, Seasonal, which operates the resort area shuttle buses, this path is you come in on the weekends and train. then you work at the height of tourist season May to September at the end of the season, if you made it thru without any incidence you were invited to come aboard as full time. the other path, the one Im on, is to train 6-8 weeks and upon successful completion, you are known as on the boards if someone calls out or goes on vacation you pick up their route. well, they decided to go with the seasonal plan. I am torn now, because it is a much better opportunity the pay is better, but I am without transportation. by bus, it takes me three hours to get to the resort area. with the path I was on, I would have to be at the depot by 350AM roughly half hour by bus. I am going to talk to Ops in the AM and see what happens. I worked too hard to get here and have the rug pulled out from under me.
