Ok, so Im feeling like I should say this, people arent going to like it, but here it goes,..... Church people will spend a ton of money to drive halfway across the country, gas, hotels, food, etc, to go to a conference that only feeds themselves,..... will sit in church and pray for people to come in,...... But wont get off their butts and actually go out into the world or the community and try to make a real difference,...... Nothing wrong with conferences, nothing wrong with praying for people to come to church, but you can NOT reach out to the world from the church pew,..... Instead of spending hundreds of dollars every time a conference comes up, buy a few groceries for a needy family, give money to an organization for the homeless, actually associate with people outside of your clique (church groups are cliques) Jesus never won anyone over by sitting on a church pew or going to conferences, he was out in the midst if the people he was trying to reach, and as Christians, were suppose to follow in his steps
