Ok, thats it. This just needs to be said. Too many ppl on and off FB have said things to me like this lately for it to go unacknowledged. From now on, I would REALLY kindly appreciate it if you dear, well-meaning souls in my life would no longer make comments such as “wait til this happens....” or any sarcastic comment about what I may or may not have to look forward to in my life....no offense, unless YOU take it as such, but I think your perspective SUCKS BALLS. Not kidding. How do you feel when people say oh, can’t wait til you die of disease, eh? Or cant wait til you have kids because then you CAN’T... z, y,z. Well you know what, If I focused everything on my life on what I can’t do and what I can’t have and what I DON’T enjoy, I guess I would be just like you, right? I don’t know about YOU, but I made a conscious decision to have a child. Yep, I knew my body would never be the same. Yep, I knew it would cost more money. Yep, I knew I would never sleep again. Yep, I know children can drain you sometimes. Actually a lot. Yep, I knew it was a full time job forever. And YES, I STILL SIGNED UP FOR IT. Because the reward for me and the risk and challenge and growth as a human being is worth more than the crap waded through and things I may have not anticipated..I’m SO sorry that you feel the need to treat me the way other ppl treat you or the way you treat yourself. I’m so sorry you feel the need to steal my joy. But the next time you feel the EXTREMELY tempting urge to tell me, or sorry, warn me, about what may or may not even happen to me, even if 99% likely, I don’t want to hear it. In fact I think I may ignore you because I don’t want you verbally vomitting on me anymore or speaking death over my life. Also, pls do not mistake my meaning. This is entirely different from, hey these are some things you might want to consider that would be helpful in case you need it in the future or to keep in mind- not I’m trying to steal your joy and your experience right now and cast a little doom and gloom over you. Hey its a bright sunny day for you today, but you might just want to think about that storm five years down the road......thanks? I think?
