Ok, world...and Scott Dombroski...here is what I was referring to in my previous status. Get ready for a JRM novel: Around 1030 am, the last item is finally off the u-haul and into our apartment; the objective of moving is now complete. By 11:30 am, JRM has put water over his upper body and his head to wash off the morning dew that had accumulated from the mornings duties (I havent showered since Wednesday Morning), put on his snazzy suit n groomed himself quite well n was ready to start the trek for his 245 pm interview. Now, the way to get to this interview via public transportation takes a lil maneuvering; if u do not possess time mgnt skills, them do not try this at home. I made my way to The Loop in record time but made one little error that cost me from making one of my 3 trains (the 1256 metra to Lombard), but its ok...that was the early train, the 156 train was the right on time train. #PrepareForSucccess So, I get on the green line west to Oak Park and then get off n walk 4ish blocks to the metra station n have a lil time to spare towards getting a large fruit smoothie that was the highlight of my first half of the day. Right on time, the 156 train scoops me up n takes me towards Lombard by 222. I have roughly 20 minutes to get to my interview (remember...I left at 1130). Now is where Im supposed to get on a Pace Bus and get dropped off right in front of the building for Ignite Illinois. However.......upon further research, I find that the next Pace Bus wont b showing up until 526 pm 😑😑😑😑😑 So...what do I do now? Do I give up bc the interview is nearly 5 miles away and there doesnt seem to b any sort of PubTrans to escort u to the proper destination? Or do I say, NO! Weve come this far and theres no turning back now... I dont know what you would do, but I know that JRM walked those 5 more miles to his interview.....IN DRESS SHOES! Now, I know what ur thinking (did he really do those 5 miles in world record time?!?!?!).......no. I wasnt even halfway there and I was already late. When Im about 15 blocks away, the lady calls me and asks if everything is ok and if i would like to reschedule: JRM: No, Im fine. I must ask u to apologize for my lateness for it seems that the pace bus isnt running at this hour, so Im on foot right now. Lady (Cher): Oh, ok, well we will see u soon then. *continues walking* Finally...around 335, I arrive at my interview...drrrrrreeeennnncchhhed in sweat (but I still looked fly). But, nonetheless, nothing is going to stop me at this point. #IwasBornReady The interview was about 15-20 mins long and I felt pretty good about it. And at the end of it....she invites me to a 2nd interview! (Its a 3 part process and if u get to the third part, u r in). I leave that office on cloud 99,990.....just as I hear the thunderclap and heavy droplets of rain. But..now that we r done with the interview, we have to get back home...................................... #Yup5MoreMilesInDressShoes About a 3rd of the way back, I had to stop at a Jewel Osco for three things: water, band aids, and gel shoe inserts. And a fun note on the shoe inserts: I put them upside down and in the wrong shoes. But, by 8 oclock....I was home 😅😩😞😐 So, the next interview is on Monday at 9 am...in Evanston (I can walk 6 blocks n b n Evanston). If I make it thru this one, Ill have completed objective B: Employment. But right now....its time to catch some of this: 😴😴😴😴😴😴 #IgotThis #LookoutChicago #MyFeetHurt
