Okay, I have a question for bartenders/people who work in clubs, bars and the like. Im currently looking into becoming a bartender (not going to the overpriced bartending schools, but getting some books and reading up and teaching myself mixology), and I was wondering this: I know you have to be 21 to bartend (I wont be 21 for another 3 years or so), but are there other jobs in that field that I would be able to do until I turn 21 that could potentially help me make connections and get some bartending experience in the meantime? Im thinking about maybe barbacking or waitressing or something like that. Im making this status public, so tag your bartender friends if you have any :)
