Okay, Ill bite. But Im bending the rules. I was nominated by Sarah Pillsbury to post three things Im grateful for three days in a row. 1. Lets get the people I love out of the way. My family, my friends, my fella. If youre reading this, Im thankful for you. 2. Im grateful that I like the people I work with. Being freelance means that you work seven days a week. Most of my days are at least ten hours long. Tech week stretches that to twelve, thirteen, fourteen sometimes. Most of the time the cast and crew or fellow makeup artists are the people I would want to hang around anyway. That whole thing about have a job you love, and youll never work a day in your life is bunk. You just wont mind it so much. 3. I am grateful for the amount of trust I enjoy from so many people. My ballerina moms trust me with their children. My directors trust me with their shows. Theatre companies trust me with their property. Friends trust me with their smiles and their cries. Sometimes the amount of faith people have in me is staggering. I will endeavor to continue being worthy of that trust. Im not tagging anyone, but I would encourage everyone to count their blessings today and everyday.
