Okay, i had a question about my dog. Admins delete if not okay. We started our dog on a Science Diet food about 3 weeks or so ago. Hes seems to be doing good eating and such but i noticed something funny about his poop. When he poops its like small balls, that are soft moist looking on the outside but a sand like crumbly look on the inside. He recently had an accident in his crate and when we took him out and bathed him it was like someone had put sand in his crate. Weve done like the skin pull test, and he drinks water so we dont think hes dehydrated. Do you think that we should change him off science diet to something else? I thought that was a good brand.. what are some thoughts and concerns. He doesnt eat people food nor does he chew on rawhides or bones. All plastic and chewy toys. Hes a 9 month old shih tzu/maltese mix.
