Okay, so last year, both of my brothers were diagnosed with mental illnesses. Im the middle child at 15, my younger brother is 13 and he has Mild autism and several other things that I cant even recall. My older brother, whom is nearing 18, has Aspergers. It is a daily struggle with them, based on the fact that (I totally admit and feel so bad for this) before they were diagnosed, I bullied them because they got on my nerves a lot. For that, they tell me daily they dont even consider me family any more. It is a true struggle because my mother is disabled and my father passed away a few years ago. So I normally run errands, do laundry and other things around the house. My brothers always try to help, and often come to the store with me when I get groceries. But the biggest problem is, they dont understand when I cant afford something, or they are doing something considered fairly rude by other peoples standards. (For example, my younger brother corrected a young woman at the check out when she asked to take our empty basket when we unloaded our things on the conveyor belt. When I told him that was rude he proceeded to loudly argue then throw himself on the floor.) When I try my hardest to explain, they dont want to listen, and when they finally hear my side, they throw tantrums and make scenes. I am trying my hardest to be understanding with them, but I just am not getting anything right. I try winning them back by buying them something every time I go out, and I try and play video games with them when I can. PLEASE Help me. Any suggestion will help!
