Okay so lets have a philosophical conversation: In the 1960s - TopicsExpress

Okay so lets have a philosophical conversation: In the 1960s many of the Negros were being discriminated/segregated. Many of you will become offended, but read on before you comment. Martin Luther King Jr., Civil Right leader for the Colored Americans, in most speeches he had called the colored Americans Negros. Which is the correct term to call the colored Americans. People today are saying Im Black/ African-American Well Black is a color, not a race and if youre immediate parents werent from African, you cant call yourself an African American. It’s like me saying Im tan/ Dominican-American”. So what’s should we call you? Well for starter we could stop calling each other “Niggah”. Niggah/ N***R is the Racist term that the Caucasians used. People may say “ I’m Black and he’s black so its okay if I could call him niggah” but what you people don’t understand is that you are bringing your people down by using that term on each other. It’s not longer a physical slavery, but a slavery of the mental state. So you may be asking “ If I’m not Black/ African American, then what would you call me?” Well the correct terms are “Negros, colored or even Americans”. Stop bring down your race by bring back a racial slur. Comment what you think, there is room for opinions.
