Okay so my grandson and his mom go to kindergarten orientation today. Of course,Walker was a little nervous which is to be expected brand-new things opening up. Listening to the principal explain the procedure and how they work very closely with kindergartners shes feeling very secure with him going. There is a concern they have special programs for children with their dads golfing, basketball,hanging out with dad. So what do little boys do that dont have a dad? Apparently they did not think of that. How do you separate children from parents gender? What about children that have lost a parent in the war? I see their point but its very upsetting that a child who is fatherless or that does not have a mother or maybe a grandparent that doesnt look closely that is a grandfather! What do you tell your child when they ask why He or she cannot be included because They dont have a the not so typical family Come on people this is 2014 things have changed drastically! Since we were in school parents are divorced, , one parent could be in a different state. Not allparents are around!! How do you tell your child he cannot be included?!
