Okay....so the video should be up shortly. Heres is the update for today. Today was a good day. We were all up until 2:30 last night. Bob built his bike and got himself situated after the long trek to Lillehammer. Ambitiously he though he could be up and out by 8:00 this morning for the 9:00-12:00 practice time on the course, but that wasnt to be. Rest is just as important as everything else. He headed out the door by car around 9:00 to check out the venue in the daylight (we had driven through in the dark on our way back from dinner last night....met some sheep and a cow on the road along the way). Around 10:00, he was off on his bike in the rain. It was about 40 degrees. 2.5 hours on the bike, A LOT of mud, and an uphill ride back to the cabin we got his report. The course is muddy, everywhere. When you watch the video you will see that there is really no break from the slip and slide adventure that this course seems to be. Bob said that there really isnt much room for error in many of the technical sections due to the conditions. If you miss a line, youre going to be walking for a bit before you can get back on a get going. Grassy descents....good luck braking! There are 3 spots with A and B options....watch the video. Bob gives you a good look at everything. Good news is, the bike is running great! Thank you Stradalli! And getting the mud off is easy thanks to ProGold! There are approximately 50 guys registered to race in Bobs class on Monday. With 2 laps under his belt, he is feeling much more confident knowing the lay of the land, but you can tell that the wheels are constantly turning. We headed in to town to pick up some groceries and find some lunch this afternoon. A lonely pizza food truck outside the local mall dished out some incredible pizza! Tomorrow night we are staying in and making dinner in the cabin so Bob can be settled early. Monday is the big day! His race will be @ 6:30 am EST. 12:30 pm local time. Ill keep the updates coming!!!
