Okay, working on a post, so I need input. N.B.: I am a proud cosplayer (I actually preferentially identify by the word costumer, but I accept that cosplayer is the more identifyable word at this point.) I dont want to hear any ranting about cosplayers being attention whores, how much you dislike that people have cosplay pages or anything else shaming the way we choose to portray ourselves to the world. Period. You know better than to start this with me. Insulting other cosplayers is as much of a blocking offense as insulting me. Just. Dont. Do. It. Now, on to the request.... Im looking for examples of either overt or subtle-but-obvious harassment of cosplayers on FB, particularly through comments on pictures or pages which primarily share pictures of cosplayers to make fun of them. Context: one of my friends, Wiccy Christina, has recently become the target of a page that is intentionally posting pictures of what they call curvy cosplayers in order to make fun of them. A number of us have reported this page, but, of course, Facebook doesnt care. Im looking for examples to call more attention to this crappy trend. If you dont want to post publicly, feel free to DM me. Ill be checking my other messages folder as well for a bit so that I dont miss anything.
