The problem the world has with the USA and with Mr Friedman of USA POSTURING of "We know better" and of "Moral Superiority" in speech and action that springs from the implicit/ explicit belief that the USA is always in the right is doing the right thing for itself and the world, endlessly echoed and often magnified by Mr. Friedman BUT never coming out with a straight admission of being in the wrong or of guilt for what has come to be a stark, unequivocal and unarguable dismal failure(s) RE recent history only: a-the USA was dead wrong and utterly immoral to conquer and destroy Iraq; an act that Mr. Friedman tirelessly advocated but never admitted its catastrophic outcome to both Iraq and the USA b-USA boundless economic/military/political unconditional support of Israel that brought about its present obduracy forcing the USA to beg of Israel not to obstruct a USA vision of a Middle East Settlement allowing the USA some residual influence.; c-the Syrian tragedy that Mr. Friedman accuses Mr. Putin of stretching out while in reality is the outgrowth of American planning, coordination, financing and arming through local auxiliaries undertaken to usher a USA plan for a NEW MIDDLE EAST of further fragmentation and powerlessness; cheered on regularly by Mr. Friedman.. Mr. Putin may have lost Google to Russia but certainly spared Russia the servility to the USA that both the USA and the IMF designed into their post communism reconstruction of Russian economy plan.
