On 11/30/13 at 4:37pm, Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the area of Route 220 and the Park and Ride in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival Officers located a 2011 Toyota resting in the roadway on its roof. Investigation revealed that 52 year old Joseph Rotruck was operating the vehicle when he became distracted and ran into a ditch. The vehicle then flipped onto its top and came to rest in the South bound lane. Route 220 was shut down for a short period of time. Rotruck was transported to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries by the Cumberland Fire Department. No Charges were filed as a result of the accident.
