On Fred Phelps passing: While I cannot stomach, condone, or even agree with the mans actions or vitriolic spew of absolute ignorance and hatred; Im also trying VERY HARD to not take any pleasure in celebrating his - essentially another human being - passing. Mr. Phelps was MORE than what we he seemed to be: a bigot. He was also a son, a husband, a fellow father - and much like the rest of us: also a victim of his own individual circumstances, his own shorted upbringing, and his own divergent choices.In the end, either he will have to face those choices or not. Well never know really. Ill just end with the thought that I truly, sincerely hope the man finds the peace in death than he never, ever, ever sought to bring others while he was alive. I also hope that everyone whose life he touched - for good or naught- are able to find closure as they lower him into the ground.
