On Friday, August 15, 2014 around 8:15 PM the Town of Frankfort PD conducted a traffic stop on State Route 5s, Town of Frankfort after observing a vehicle commit a traffic infraction. During the investigation it was learned that the driver had been operating a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was stolen from the Town of New Hartford. The driver had also identified himself multiple times to police with a fake name and date of birth. During the investigation the town police learned his real name and is NOT listed below due to his age being 17 (eligible for Youthful Offender status). The suspect was arraigned in the Town of Frankfort Court and remanded to the Herkimer County jail in lieu of bail. The Town of New Hartford Police Department assisted. Suspect: Withheld due to age. Charges: VTL 1120-A, Fail to Keep Right, Infraction VTL 1180-A, Speed Not Reasonable, Infraction VTL 509-1, Unlicensed Operator, Infraction PL 165.50, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd, D Felony PL 190.23, False Personation, B Misdemeanor ALL SUSPECTS ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
