On Healing: There is no real healing without ownership. We cannot begin to lift ourselves if we refuse the traction offered in the truth. And the Truth is in ownership of where and what we have lived. This is the only home of dignity, there is no dignity in denial, in covering up, in masking ourselves, in living a quiet shame. There is no truth in the play we project to protect ourselves from the inevitable fall. It is the fall, the vulnerability in being on the ground, the helplessness and surrender for a moment that takes us into our healing. And we stand up owning our feet, our legs, owning our choices, our feelings, our boundaries...There is no hope of knowing WE-llness until we work on what we have allowed to fill us with I-llness.
