On July 7, 2014 the Middletown Police Detective Bureau and Quality of Life Unit executed a search warrant at a McClean Street residence in the River Plaza section of town. The warrant was a result of a month long investigation into the sale of marijuana from the residence. As a result of the warrant police charged Ryan Miller, age 28, from McClean Street, for Possession of over 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession with the Intent to Distribute over 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana within 500 feet of a Public Park. He was held on $30,000.00 bail set by Judge Joseph Oxley of the Monmouth County Superior Court. Also charged was Liam McNerney, age 19, also from McClean Street for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date. The investigation was conducted by Detective Keith Hirschbein, Detective Laurence Schachtel, Officer Donald Coates and Officer Anthony Dellatacoma. Officer Chris Tuberion of the Union Beach Police Department and his K-9 partner Mako assisted in the search.
