On October 23, the 1st day of taekwondo competition at the 2013 SportAccord Combat Games, each participating team in mens and womens divisions fought 2 preliminary matches. Chinese team which won both of the matches is leading in Womens division, followed by France, Russia and Croatia. In Group A of the Mens division, Russia defeated Dominican Republic and Uzbekistan, leading the Group. Spain, Uzbekistan and Dominican Republic of the same group take place the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. In Group B of the Mens division, Iran beat both USA and Venezuela, ranked top in the Group, followed by Korea and USA. Both of them recorded one victory and one defeat, while Venezuela lost both of the matches.
