On October 27, 2013 we were all patiently waiting to find out what our little baby would be. It was a day full of so much excitement! Little did we know a week later we received news that something was wrong with our baby boy. Gage has a toe deformity on his right foot. The doctors told us he was going to have six toes but his big toe formed together as one big toe with an extra set of bones and joints. The doctors gave us news that his deformity was a marker for Down syndrome. news a future parent never wants to hear. Although we are extremely blessed he does not have Down syndrome, Gage has multiple surgeries ahead of him. Tomorrow we head to Akron childrens as he undergoes his first one! I am asking prayers for him, the doctors, and of course our family. This procedure is 2 1/2 hours long under anesthesia and a cast from his right toes to his right hip! Please pray for a fast recovery and a smooth surgery! Thanks!
