On Saturday, AIESEC in Uganda had its first Organizational Social Responsibility event in the Uganda School of the deaf, Ntinda which was attended by its members, friends, and 5 TV, radio, and newspaper media houses. I would like to thank the organizing committee; Joseph, Nampewo, Marie, and Peter Magala for all the amazing work. Thanks to Hima Cement and National Forestry Association, we were able to give the school 50 bags of cement to renovate the entire school, and plant 250 fruit trees in the school to encourage the children to always think sustainable and to take care of the environment. We played so many games with the children and they taught us to be more appreciative of our differences and embrace them; we were also taught basic sign language. This event went far more in not only creating more awareness of support to the school, but it taught us humility and bonded the membership of AIESEC in Uganda even more. We are grateful to the administration and children for allowing us into their hearts and home, and we look forward to seeing you again
