On Saturday September 27, 2014 the Alzheimers Association - Northern California and Northern Nevada had its Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Aptos, California. Anissa Novak put together a fantastic event and of course the gang was there to not only volunteer, but also walk the 3 miles at this beautiful location. MP Power and Mark Johnson of Visual-Aerials were our designated walkers. Andrew Frank Holzschuh was in charge of ground images. Russell Preston Brown and Romeo Durscher were in charge of the skies. We were all supervised by Andrew Lloyd. Joe Hyatt was the Gopher Extraordinaire while Lauren Darmstandler made it to Extraordinaire^2. Lisa Felde Rose raised a fantastic amount of funding for the Alzheimers Association and their research. And we all had a fantastic day! Alzheimers disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States and the only cause of death among the top 10 in the United States that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed. Formed in 1980, the Alzheimers Association advances research to end Alzheimers and dementia while enhancing care for those living with the disease. All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimers further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimers Association. More information: alz.org
