On Saturday, the 8th of November, 2014, five of Sagesse High School’s MUNers attended the Human Rights Trivia Competition training session, an on-campus lecture organized and hosted by NDU. The captivating lecture included a 31-slide PowerPoint presentation with the purpose of guiding the competing schools through the guidelines and rules of debating to achieve resolutions for Human Rights crises. The topics that were put forth were highly motivational for the participants as they conveyed Human Rights issues that they, as Lebanese citizens, are confronted with on a daily basis. The lecture was followed by a mock simulation which gave the students the opportunity to practice their debating skills as preparation for the final conference which will take place on the 9th of January, 2015. As always, our students were more than happy to be placed in a social context in which they were able to mingle with students from other schools and create new acquaintances and contacts in a friendly and academic environment.
