On September 23, 2013, at approximately 9:15 pm, Lafayette Police responded to the 300 block of Presbytere Parkway regarding a reported damage to property incident. The victim stated that unknown person(s) shot paint balls at their residence, causing damage to the windows. On September 24, 2013, Officers with the Lafayette Police Department made four arrests associated with the incident. Keegan McDowell (17) of Lafayette and Logan Laborde (17) of Scott, were both arrested and charged with Simple Criminal Damage to Property. Brett House (17) of Lafayette was arrested for Simple Criminal Damage to Property and released on a misdemeanor summons. A 16 year old juvenile of Youngsville was arrested for Simple Criminal Damage to Property and release into the custody of his guardians. All participants were allegedly taking part in a prank called “Junior / Senior Wars”. On September 25, 2013, at approximately 12:11 am, Lafayette Police responded to the 100 block of Roclay Drive regarding damage to a home. The suspects vandalized the residence with toilet paper, eggs and flour. While investigating the incident officers were able to locate one suspect believed to be involved in the incident. Antonio Jimenez (17) of Lafayette was arrested and charged with Simple Criminal Damage to Property. Officers expect to make three additional arrests in connection with the case. Lafayette Police encourage parents to speak with their high school age students regarding committing pranks. If the person being pranked is not a willing participant and police are called, those responsible for the incident will be arrested.
