On Thursday, October 17th, the Riverside County Bar Association held a fundraising event at Farrells Ice Cream Parlour. For many years I have worked with the RCBA on their projects and I was thrilled to be asked to be a Guest Greeter and Server. 15% of everything purchased (including gift cards) went to RCBA to support many community projects including: The Elves Program which allows members of the RCBA to adopt and support local families that would otherwise be unable to provide gift to their children during the holiday season. Good Citizenship Awards - These are awards presented to high school juniors who have been designated by their respective principals as exhibiting the characteristics of a good citizen - leadership, problem solving and involvement on campus. High School Mock Trials - Students participate in a simulated trial that is set up and structured just like a real court and learn about the roles that judges, lawyers, witnesses, and others play in our judicial system.
