On Tuesday, Oct. 25, at yet another hearing for Duke and Daisy, Justice Rigali said from the bench “I don’t want to destroy dogs for doing what dogs do”. He is considering our Attorney’s contention that the state agricultural act give the judge discretion in such matters and trumps the county ordinance. He also suggested that this was a matter for the Board of Supervisors to decide. On Tuesday, November 4th , the Board of Supervisors will meet in Santa Barbara. The first reading of the new county ordinance, under which Duke and Daisy would NOT be destroyed, will take place. We need to be there IN FORCE………..We need speakers to protest what is being done to Duke and Daisy, and a lot of other things going on at Animal Services. Can you please take some time and be there? Please urge your friends and supporters to attend this meeting at 9 a.m. on the 4th floor of the County Building at 105 E. Anapamu Street and speak up for the dogs we all love. We need to fill the room and make sure our voices are heard. Please let us know if you plan to attend!
