On Wednesday this week, President Uhuru Kenyatta officially launched the annual 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence campaign and the #HeForShe global campaign. The international 16 days campaign began on November 25 and ends on December 10. #Kenya has seen an increase is gender based violence, with incidences of #rape on the rise. “In the past year, the most reported type has been gang rapes, specifically of underage girls.
