On a visit from the U.S., Joshua Edwards and Lynn Xu are reading at The Albion Beatnik tomorrow, Tuesday 28th, at 8pm. Lynn Xu was born in Shanghai. Shes the author of Debts & Lessons (Omnidawn, 2013), a finalist for the L.A. Times Book Prize in Poetry, and a chapbook, June (Corollary Press, 2008). Her poems have also appeared in Best American Poetry 2008, Boston Review, Octopus, Poor Claudia, and elsewhere. The recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship and a William L. Magistretti Fellowship, she is currently the Jacob K. Javits Fellow at UC Berkeley, where she is a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Literature. Joshua Edwards directs Canarium Books. Hes the author of three collections of poetry, Architecture for Travelers, Imperial Nostalgias, and Campeche, a photobook, Photographs Taken at One-Hour Intervals During a Walk from Galveston Island to the West Texas Town of Marfa, and a photozine, Giapan. Hes the recipient of fellowships from the Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stanford University, and the Fulbright Program. Born on Galveston Island, he lives in Marfa, Texas with his wife, Lynn Xu.
