On names and fake names: If any of you were wondering why IJonás Callewærts profile was missing for a week or so... A rather unscrupulous person reported his profile for having a Fake name. And of course, Facebook acted on the report by disabling the profile, without even checking. 1) Sunshine is his middle name on his birth certificate, so it was not in any way fake. It would be like if my FB name was Peter Julius Csere. That is my name on my birth certificate. 2) The addition of an I and an accent over the a on the spelling of his first name is to help with the pronunciation, since many people do not realize that the J is pronounced as Y, and IJ is actually a one-character letter in the dutch character map. 3) Thousands of vegans and raw foodists have fake names i.e. Mango and Durian as their middle name, or Vegano/etc as their last name. Patrick Fruit-Vegano, Mangodurian Elfrugivoro, Pacificus Veganius, Fruit High, Dominique FruitHoops Seyez, Richie Fruitbat, just to name a few. Why did this person report only Jonas and not the thousands of others? There is nothing wrong with having a CHOSEN name that is different than your LEGAL name. To insist otherwise is to use state violence to oppress. Some people make fun of Freelee Bell for choosing the name she wishes to be called by, and they insist on using her previous names which is quite disrespectful. Nika Veganlover has actually changed her legal last name to one that she chose - nothing wrong with that. To to insist that someone be limited to their state-approved slave name - to even go so far as to report a profile because they are convinced a person is not using their state-approved slave name despite the categorical fact that they ARE, and considering there are thousands of other profiles that actually ARE using fake names - well, this is quite childish. 4) Ill be nice and not name the person who filed the complaint, but lets watch out for douchebaggery like this in the future. There are a few people in the raw food/vegan youtube and facebook scene that regularly make fun of others for using fake names or not sticking to their state-approved names. When you see this kind of rhetoric, speak out against it. I want people to have the right to choose whichever name they feel suits them.
