On our way again after lunch heading across the Bay in calm sunny weather - very exhausting this travelling!!! the scenery is changing a little and we seem to be moving away from the dried out parched coastal mountains, still mountains all round us but layered over reach other misty, going from smokey greys through to blues - we are fairly close to the Greek Islands of Rhodes and Symi (which means Cypress so we are seeing more greeny greys) and my phone keeps picking up the Greek frequency then dropping back to Turkey We slide into a secluded bay past monolithic dark rocks rising vertically from the sea bed reminiscent of our Black Rocks in the BOI standing sentinel over the entrance and magnificent in the changing light. Dropped anchor in this pristine wooded bay BENCIK surrounded by pines trees down to crystal clear water greens and golds in the late afternoon sun, relaxed and dined on huge fresh prawns purchased from the local small fishing boat and perfectly cooked in garlic and olive oil together with fresh salad, mushrooms stuffed with local goat cheese and whole fresh sea bream (one each just in case we are hungry) good wine and the softness of the night closing in around us leaving only the gentle slapping of the waves and the occasional crickets - sky too hazy for stars
