On the 24th of October, I met Prof. Dr. Saw Hlaing Bwa, Director, Judson Research Center, Myanmar Institute of Theology, at his office, and discuss “ Building Love among Religions”. We agreed to hold the meeting for “Religions Perspective on Universal Love [ Loving Kindness]”. The tentative date is November 22nd at Pann Pyo Let Monastic School, Kyauk Tan village, Bago. I also received two documents on Buddhists Metta [ Loving Kindness] in hard copies and another two on Christians’ Perspective, in soft copies. The next day I called Dr.Hla Tun and he suggest me to contact U Aung Naing for Hindu’s Perspective because he is not free on that day. I met U Aung Naing in the evening and he agreed to attend the discussion on the 22nd November. Also he suggest me to invite Daw Kathleen Thein for Hindu Women Organization’s participation. I did so and she accepted the invitation. On the 26th, I met Tom Cormier, Head of Mission, International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance [ International IDEA]. He liked the idea of “Building Love among Religions” and asked the documents. He urged me to meet the Ambassador of Canada , whom he believed is keen to promote such activities. I will do when I have the chance.
