On the way home from Ivor, all I could think about was the so many memories I had with my cousin and former pastor Bishop D L Whitfield at RSJ PHC and him calling me Little DEE!!!!!!! I know I used to be worrisome when I was little and I was into EVERY little thing but he was the FIRST to allow me to bang on them drums and on the keyboard even when I was just learning as a little boy. My feet didnt even touch the floor but he would always encourage me to stick with it. He always would say when he was up preaching that me and my cousin Marquese Madison was going to be doing what he doing one day (up preaching the word to ppl). That always stuck with me. I seen everything hes every told me come to pass. Bishop is the reason Im the musician I am today because if he hadnt allowed me to play and venture out, I dont know what Id be doing right now. Dont forget where you come from and who got you where you are!!! Now Im home and my Gma is a lil sad about it. I just cant believe this!!!!
