On the way to school, along katipunan extension, I was sitting in - TopicsExpress

On the way to school, along katipunan extension, I was sitting in the front seat of my car. My driver was driving. He was driving unusually fast and as calm as I seemed, sitting quietly, I was quite afraid we were going to crash. And then we almost did. We were in the first lane, speeding along. Id say about 80kph or thereabouts, when a copper-colored car in the second lane, without signaling, started drifting slowly into our lane. My driver unleashed all the fury of the little Toyota Vios pipsqueak of a horn and the copper car jolted back into the second lane. Disaster averted. Good job. Then without thinking, I turned my head and looked at the other car as we sped by, and the first thing I noticed was a slender, upright finger, flipping us -- or rather, my driver off. I was astounded. I had never been aware of another driver flipping me off, or if not me, flipping off the vehicle I was in. But my feelings of shock, and mild amusement dissipated when I saw that behind that finger was long, flowing black hair and a cute girl. Suddenly, I was giggling, giddy and wildly amused -- all on the inside, of course. We sped by so quickly that I wasnt sure if she actually was cute. But we got caught in some mild traffic on Katipunan and she caught up. We were ahead of her so I got to see her face clearly and I can say with conviction: she was definitely still irritated about the whole snafu a few meters back. She was also cute. So lessons learned: 1. Use the signal light! 2. Be nice to the people you meet on the road. 3. It was totally my drivers fault.
