On this Remembrance Day hopefully all Australia stood still to pay tribute and remember those who who gave their lives so we can enjoy the freedoms we enjoy today. On this day 96 years ago, the guns fell silent on the War To End All Wars, still our brave troops go off to fight on foreign shores, sent there by national leaders who have not in any way experienced the perils they face. 100 years since the beginning of WW1the world remains in turmoil, unrest in Iran, Pakistan, Somalia and other places, wars raging in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, militants causing havoc in the USA, UK, Australia and other western nations, those who gave their lives in the pursuit of world peace seem to have spilled their blood for no end result. When and where will it all end? Drs appointment for both of us this AM preceded by a PEG check by the nurse for me, Barlow was well behaved in our absence but on our return, he made a bid for freedom which was thwarted by my alertness. Dorothy called in this afternoon. Goodnight from us.
