On yesterday I did not post AJs Thought Of The Day because I, like many others spent the majority of my day, traveling our roadways at a snails pace. It took me over 3 hours to travel from my home to the Alabama Statehouse where we were scheduled for a legislative session and it took me over 4 hours to return to my home. We were unable to conduct business because only 40 Representatives were able to complete the trip. I learned this morning some of my colleagues along with many other travelers spent the night on highways. My prayer is that all travelers remain safe and our community spirit of helping others continues until all travelers reach their destinations. I commend all the businesses and citizens that have opened their hearts and doors to those that were in need of assistance. Thank you Alabamians for revealing the true meaning of Alabama The Beautiful!!!
