Once again, a dam is removed and the salmon and steelhead swim - TopicsExpress

Once again, a dam is removed and the salmon and steelhead swim right back upstream and begin their recovery. This same story is being played out at completed dam removal projects across the country (Condit, Hemlock, Marmot, Edwards, on and on). Still, some folks at Stanford University have questioned whether or not the steelhead (and maybe historically present coho salmon) that continue to smash their heads against Searsville Dam every year would swim upstream if the dam were removed. Unbuild it and they do come!
