Once again the Zambian soil has opened up its wide mouth only to be closed when a properly crafted casket is lowered into it . The embassy park has such an insatiable appetite to swallow great sons of this nation. This time a courageous leader, a patriot and a ma n known to have risen in ranks largely due to his commitment to hard work. He joked, he was serious, he guided, he rebuked openly, he promoted, he failed yet determined to correct his errors and those of other leaders, he exposed laziness, he hired and fired and many times he surprised the whole nation including his own cabinet. One Michael Chilufya Sata. I read about perseverance and heard many sermons about the same but I witnessed it in you when you lined up for elections 3 times and tumbled. You soldiered on like one who had never been disappointed till the saying Gods time is the best came true to you and stationed you at plot one, a residence associated with you until another occupies. Farewell man of action, farewell commander in chief, farewell Mr President , farewell His excellence, farewell Mr Sata. Sombre you have left us but we shall rise with the peaceful spirit of mother Zambia and with the inspiration from words of our national anthem one land and one nation is our cry, dignity and peace neath Zambias cry like a noble eagle in its flight we shall indeed rise and walk the many new roads you have left us and choose the next leader with ease as the bible tells us leaders are chosen by God . We shall remember the good things you did and thy sense of humour. God bless our great nation Zambia.
