Once had a dude that was always on my back I aint understand Now that Im grown, I see that he was just trynna teach me how to be a man Out the door by 6, man that was too early for me So hed pick me up & let me sleep up in the front seat Id wake @ 8 and peer on out the window My poppa had me travelin all over on the open road Oklahoma, Lousiana and all of Texas I never knew exactly what was next for us Back at home, I was cutting grass & pulling weeds Do anything for his lady & whatever his family needs Ive never met a greater man, ever in my life He even showed me how to fully love my wife My daddy, my role model and my best friend And he never hesitated give me love or discipline But now hes gone from this earth & i cant get him back son Man, I truly miss my Grandpa Calvin Jackson...
