Once upon a time in Kalina…..This Time it’s Personal PLAY FOR PRIDE…..PLAY FOR GLORY When Our Lady of Egypt Church Sports Committee started the Zonal Kalina Football League hardly did they knew that this could be so popular throughout Mumbai. Initially there were 12 teams representing the Six Zones of the parish. But since there were two teams who were constantly not performing & were always at the bottom of the table, the committee decided to start relegating the last two teams as per the league standings & introduced the qualifying rounds from where they could pick two teams which would finish top & qualify for the main league. Once this was introduced there was great competition among the reputed teams to stick hold their players & also for the players who formed their own teams & took part in qualifying rounds. Year on year this league is played for Pride & Glory, you get to see tough competition & great matches. This year it will be more fun & tense situation during the league matches as you cannot assure which team will take the title. Is it going to be KVB who have performed will for the last four years, will they retain the KFL title? Will the five time champions Kalina Rangers retain their dominance? Can Air India Colony hit the Bulls Eye after coming strongly from the relegation zone? The Unpredictables Rovers FC, can they create History by winning the 14th KFL 2013? Dark Horse Kalina Trashers game plans can defeat strong teams, but can they claim the title? Can Egyptian Boys win their second title? Will Kalina United able to beat their league records? New Air India colony was so close last year but dropped out at the end, can they make it big this year? Nester Compound can shoot goals from any angle, will they able to shoot that winning slot? Taliakerz look strong & has a great force to dominate games, can they clinch the trophy? 14th Kalina Football League 2013 every match is important & exciting to watch……cause this time its going to be Personal.
